Live Wire

What is being reported

Headlines collected automatically from public news feeds across the political spectrum and sorted by tracker. Each one links to the original outlet.

Unreviewed signal These headlines haven't been verified by The Cultured Scholar. They show what is being reported, not what has been confirmed. Reviewed items go into each tracker's evidence ledger.
    The archive

    Fourteen trackers, one data story

Each card shows coverage in the past 24 hours: news headlines, outlets reporting, and public social posts. Full tracker pages, with indicators, evidence ledgers, and citations, are being built one at a time.

    MF-14 · Social Pulse

    News coverage vs. social conversation

When a topic's share of social posts is much larger than its share of news coverage, or the other way around, that gap is a narrative signal worth investigating.

Attention share by tracker, past 24 hours

    Top public threads today

The day's top public Reddit threads from selected communities. Usernames are never shown.

      Platforms in the live layer

X, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook don't offer free public access, so they are covered through news reporting and manual review for now. State-affiliated media are tracked separately and kept out of the main Live Wire. Open Social Pulse →

      The name

Fate is the record of what was said, and what was done.

Memento means “remember,” as in memento mori. Fati comes from fatum, fate, which literally means “that which has been spoken.” This archive holds power to its own words, and follows the Stoic idea of amor fati: face the evidence as it is, whichever side it helps.

      How we verify

We don't score parties. We score evidence.
